The short version

Silhoulid runs entirely in your browser. The images, SVGs, and projects you work with are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to our servers. We do not have an account system, and we do not collect personal information.

What we store on your device

To make the editor usable across visits, Silhoulid uses your browser's local storage. Nothing in this list leaves your computer:

  • Your in-progress project (key: silhoulid-editor-session) - so your work is still there if you close the tab.
  • Your theme preference (key: theme) - light or dark.
  • Your cookie consent record (key: silhoulid-cookie-consent) - so we don't prompt you again every visit.

You can clear all of it any time by clearing site data in your browser. None of these are HTTP cookies; we use localStorage instead, which stays on your device.

Analytics

Silhoulid uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages people visit and how the site is performing. It is a privacy-first, cookieless service: it does not set any cookies, does not fingerprint your device, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal information. The metrics it reports to us are aggregate counts (page views, top pages, top countries, referrers) - we cannot identify any individual visitor from them.

Because Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless and free of personal data, it falls under the "strictly necessary" basis under ePrivacy law and does not require an opt-in toggle.

What we do not do

  • We do not run behavioural or cross-site tracking.
  • We do not embed advertising or marketing pixels.
  • We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to third parties.
  • We do not require an account, an email address, or a sign-in.
  • We do not upload your images, SVGs, projects, or exports.

Hosting & request logs

Silhoulid is hosted by a third-party hosting provider. As is standard for any website, that provider may receive your IP address and a User-Agent string when your browser requests the page, and may keep short-lived logs for security and abuse prevention. We do not enrich, profile, or cross-reference those logs.

Share links

The editor can encode the state of your project into a URL so you can share it. The encoded data lives in the URL itself - it travels only to whoever you send the link to, never to us.

Children

Silhoulid does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we collect no personal information at all, there is nothing to collect from anyone, regardless of age.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA, and similar laws, you have rights of access, deletion, correction, and portability over personal data held about you. Silhoulid does not hold personal data about you on our servers, so there is nothing to access or export. To erase the locally stored items listed above, clear site data in your browser.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Silhoulid handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes that affect previously given consent will trigger a re-prompt of the consent banner.
